Jewelry: Sikara & Co.

San Francisco Store Visit

Photo: Sikara & Co. store front window display. Photographs in photo taken by Mousumi Shaw

I was captivated by the photographs on the walls and in the window display, from these I could glimpse the origin of the beautifully hand crafted jewelry collections.

I am pleased to announce that Sikara & Co. has recently launched a pop up Store in San Francisco!

Sikara & Co, described as Modern Fusion Jewelry™ came to life when Mousumi Shaw (Founder and CEO) decided to weld her passion for culture and travel with jewelry. I got this quote from the Sikara & Co site I think it is well spoken and will give you a sense of where Mousumi's creative vision and drive stems from.

"Between our family road trips across the US and travels to the Far East, my mom has taught me not only to have a love for our ancestral Indian culture but also a deep appreciation for other cultures. A passion for travel is embedded deep in my genes as well. I’ve visited over 30 countries in the past 10 years, opening my eyes to foreign cultures, and politics, oftentimes not found in the textbooks. My travels have inspired me to work with a network of international designers to present a truly unique line of jewelry. When a person purchases a piece, they also learn about the history and culture pertaining to the country where the designer of the piece originates."

-Mousumi Shaw

What I think is unique about Sikara & Co., is that not only is the jewelry stunning, but that they expose the beauty of other cultures to Americans by sharing their creative vision and in that process educating us. All of the peaces are inspired by architecture, textiles, colors, and cultures from around the world. Currently they offer Asian, African, Latin, and European collections.

Take a sneak peak at some of the collections below!
