Cherish

SPRING 2009

As I flipped through magazines, desperately looking for inspiration for a new blog post, I noticed a commonality throughout all these Spring 2009 add campaigns. Can you guess it?

I see a true love for nature and our surroundings displayed in all of these photos. Rather than imposing ourselves onto the world, these pictures tell a tale of compromise and resonance with nature. I believe people not only understand the gravity of global warming and it's effect on our world, but also now want to participate. Thus creating a demand and a trend for me to write about!

Tropical Fever

Notice that the colors, textures, and patterns blend in with the background creating an almost camouflage effect.

Burberry

Gucci

In Blossom

The silhouettes, fabrication, coloring, and surroundings paint a luscious imagery of flowers in bloom.

Clockwise: Bebe, Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci.

Desert Bound

NOTE-the Urban Outfitters photo is from the Spring 2009 Catalogue photo shoot. This photo seemed to fit the AD Campaign trend. Which means, keep a look out for more brands to use nature as a focal point in their photo styling.

Clockwise: Chloe, Ralph Lauren, Urban Outfitters, Nine West.

Urban Jungle

I suppose sky scrapers and fire hydrants are as natural as trees and bushes to city dwellers.

Clockwise:Dior-Lady Dior, DKNY, Kate Spade.
